Why we care for our elderly?
Who is Family First Residential Care?

We began our work with elderly with the intention of providing the best possible care for my mother, Esther. After recovering from surgery, she was taken to an overcrowded facility; looked like a nursing home, and smelled like death! This was a personal revelation into some of the larger facilities for the elderly.
Since then, we have remodeled our home to best meet the needs of the elderly but never sacrificing the idea that this is a residence. People are treated like family:
* Meals are planned prepared individually for relatively small numbers, not mass consumption,
* Activities are offered based on the desires of the residents,
* We are able to closely monitor medications and doctor recommendations because of our size. With only 5-6 residents, we have the time and resources to adequately serve all residents.
* Our staff is able to care for the personal needs of all residents both day and night, including dressing, cleaning etc. Our restrooms are equipped with bidets to help residents who may not be in a position to use toilet paper but still need to be as clean as possible.

We feel our home is comfortable, safe, and very effective for most elderly people in need of consistent care both day and night.
